There are many aspects of music lessons. I teach a comprehensive approach to music. This means that students are learning it all - theory, vocabulary, history, culture, technique, listening skills and more. While this may sound very extensive (especially if your student is 5 years old!) it is important begin incorporating all aspects of music as early as possible. The comprehensive approach is also more engaging for the student. Music is in our everyday lives and is a universal art form.

My education background has been that of nurture. I believe that students flourish best through nurture. Students need encouragement and structure, which creates an environment conducive to learning! I strive to create an environment where students can thrive as individuals and young musicians. Challenging students to strive for excellence is very important. This transfers to ever aspect of his/her life. We should always strive to be the best we can be.
